Kellen was so patient. If there was a behavior that we needed to change he would just tap us on the shoulder to get our attention gently. There were many different types of kids in the classroom and he treated us all the same. He was always making sure we were being safe like not running too fast or doing something dangerous. One time I was climbing on the play place and I went to jump off but slipped and was about to fall straight onto my back and he grabbed me by the back of the shirt and stomach caught me mid-air!

Kellen was our daughter’s first Children’s House guide in Portland, Oregon. It was her first “big” school experience and we were all a little apprehensive.
